Miyazu Bay, in northern Kyoto Prefecture, marks the beginning of the Tango Peninsula on the Sea of Japan. Its ria coastline includes incredible geographical features like Amanohashidate, one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views. It’s a naturally occurring land bridge surrounded by verdant mountains and translucent beaches, Amanohashidate is a unique sandbar over 3km in length, and along with the proximate mountains and coastline, has been registered as a national park.
