Agadir Bay

The name Agadir is an Amazigh noun, meaning ‘wall, enclosure, fortified building, citadel’.

The area is known for its Arganeraie biosphere reserve. The Argan tree is an endemic species which is not only important in terms of conservation, but also for research and socio-economic development.The Argan oil has multiple uses in cooking, medicines and cosmetics.
