The President of the General Assembly convened a preparatory meeting on July 2, 2024, at United Nations Headquarters in New York, chaired by the two host countries of the Conference, Costa Rica and France, to consider the themes of the ocean action panels and elements for the final declaration.
The Most Beautiful Bays of the World attended the meeting, along with representatives of UN Member States and accredited non-governmental organizations, major groups, and other stakeholders.
