BAYS MEMBERS OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BAYS IN THE WORLD ASSOCIATION AGREE ON THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES:
- Raise national and global awareness of the importance of bays and sustainable coastal management
- Work to preserve the quality of the marine environment
- Prevent and ensure the proper management of the challenges of pollution and various strandings, especially plastics
- Protect the richness of the natural heritage of the bays by promoting action to maintain biodiversity in the bays
- Raise awareness of the problem of demographic and tourist pressure along the coast and in the bays, to guarantee residents and visitors the best living conditions and well-being
- Strengthen ties between member bays as places for discussion and sharing of good practices through inclusive partnerships
- Encourage and relay research and scientific innovations in the protection of coastal marine areas
- Promote actions and initiatives likely to allow the bays to remain a living space and enriching experiences.
- Ensure that bays contribute to the global effort under UN-led to revitalize the oceans, to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) relating to the conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal ecosystems
